The View From Here - A Las Vegas Layout

When we were in Las Vegas earlier this month, we decided it would be fun to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower (a miniature replica version; part of the Paris Hotel & Casino) and see the view. We had to wait in line for a good half hour and it was COLD up there at the top - but wow, was it ever worth it! The views were incredible and we even got to watch the fountain show at the Bellagio across the street. I managed to get a few good shots, most of which are already tucked away in my Project Life album, but I still wanted to make a layout to document the experience.

Here's the page I came up with, using papers from the Sycamore Lane collection from Elle's Studio. I've had bits and pieces of this collection in my stash since it came out in the fall and decided it was time to put them to work!

This layout was made for a sketch challenge happening over on the Scrapbook Nerd message board as part of their Winterlude online crop. I loved the sketch we were given as inspiration and really like how my layout turned out! I think the blues in the paper really complement the blues in the photographs.

If you're not already part of the Scrapbook Nerd community, you should definitely check them out. They are an online store based here in Canada, and they have a friendly message board as well as an inspirational gallery. They also host online crops every couple of months with great challenges and lots of prizes and RAK's. Head on over there & say hello :)
