Yes … you read that blog title correctly. As hard as it is to believe we are already at the end of September and that means it's time for the monthly Clique Kits Pep Rally! The pep rally is a blog hop where both design team members and the Clique subscribers get to show off the layouts + projects they've made with the monthly kit. I was a huge fan of August's kit, Glam Camp, and I figured it would be pretty hard to beat …. but then September's kit, Study Abroad, came along and it just blew me away. It's loaded with paper (13 sheets!!) and fun embellishments, many of which were imported from Poland.
The kit is already sold out but there are still some individual items available for sale in the shop (right here). Don't forget you can use coupon code STEPHANIE10 to get 10% off your purchases.
Every month the pep rally has a theme and this month's theme is Be Daring. We were provided with the following quote by Cecil Beaton to use as inspiration - "Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary."
When I read that quote I immediately thought of my mom. She has never been one to play-it-safe or shy away from taking a risk and she worked hard to instill that same sense of courage and determination in both my sister and I. She raised us to believe that "where there's a will, there's a way" … no dream was ever too outrageous; no goal too ambitious. I knew I wanted to scrapbook a photo of her for this challenge so I chose this snapshot taken while we were all on vacation in Hawaii. I also decided to incorporate a "daring" scrapbooking technique - the use of white space.
Everything on this page except for the grey letter stickers are from the Study Abroad kit.
Can we please discuss the adorable flair and the fun little sequins?! Love them.
For more Study Abroad inspiration, be sure to do the full blog hop as each lady will be revealing projects made using the kit. Also, if you follow the Clique Kits blog, "like" them on Facebook and leave comments on each blog hop post you'll be entered to win a $10 credit to the Clique Kits store.
Here's the line up from start to finish …
